Development Sites

Sites vacated in advance of or during planning applications can provide excellent opportunities for short-term activities. The flexibility of hosting short-term activities ensures that the development schedule is not compromised and yet maintains the integrity of a site from both a security and a community perspective. Sites being used attract less attention from vandals and squatters and with SPACE-2 having a vested interest in the space, minor maintenance issues do not escalate. The revenues generated form these sites can then be put towards the running costs of the site or ploughed into community initiatives to enable the developer to maintain a constant positive dialogue with those affected by the development.
